Police have arrested a man in western Wisconsin in connection with the killing of his father, from St. Paul, and the stabbing of his mother.

Sawyer County Sheriff's Office says it was called to the domestic incident at Hinton Avenue in Hayward Saturday afternoon.

It was there they found Thomas L. Farnsworth of St. Paul, had died from a stab wound, while his wife, Juli Farnsworth, had suffered severe injuries after also being stabbed.

Her current condition is unknown.

Taken into custody was the victims' son, Peter Farnsworth, who is being held in jail on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide and substantial battery.

BMTN does not typically name people who have been arrested until they have been charged, but has chosen to do so here in case the victims have other sons.
