A South Carolina woman has been charged with kidnapping a Minnesota girl she met online and sexually assaulting her.

Katrina Marie Aliff is a 23-year-old from Greenville who was arrested last month after authorities allegedly found her with the minor.

According to the Greenville News, federal prosecutors say Aliff met the South St. Paul girl through the social networking app Amino in March, and though the girl's father discovered their correspondence and destroyed the phone, the two continued talking through a tablet.

Per the paper, FBI documents say Aliff arrived in South Saint Paul on Sept. 7, took the victim in her car and drove back to Greenville with her.

WYFF reports that authorities "got information" that the girl might be at Aliff's local apartment, and sure enough, she was soon found in the woman's bedroom.
