Special ed teacher in SE Minn. charged with molesting students
A special education teacher at a school in southeastern Minnesota has been charged with molesting students, the La Crosse Tribune reports.
Jason David Barker, 37, of Winona, was arrested Jan. 18 after he was confronted about his actions by five students at La Crescent Montessori Academy earlier this month, the Tribune reports. School staff called police.
According to a criminal complaint, one student told staff that Baker put his hands down her pants and touched her breasts, the newspaper reported. The Tribune says Baker has denied the allegations, although he said he sometimes pushes the "boundaries in teaching."
Barker also has been charged with an unrelated felony in Winona County for threatening to stab a couple, the newspaper reports.
