Speeding motorcyclist fleeing police dies in crash near North Branch

A 34-year-old man from Cambridge, Minnesota is dead after crashing his motorcycle while trying to run from police early Saturday morning.  

At around 3:15 a.m., a sergeant from the Chisago County Sheriff's Office clocked a motorcycle going more than 100 mph on Forest Boulevard on the north side of North Branch. 

The sergeant tried to pull the motorcyclist over when he slowed to turn eastbound on 403rd Street, but the driver took off and rapidly increased speed as he went northbound on Golden Avenue, before crashing into a driveway approach in the residential area.

The biker has been identified as Jason Gene Lindman, who died after being airlifted to Regions Hospital.
