Spring Lake Park couple arrested after police seize 15 pounds of meth, $73K cash
A Spring Lake Park couple has been arrested after police found more than 15 pounds of methamphetamines and $73,000 in cash during a search of their home and storage unit.
The CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force on Monday arrested a 51-year-old man and his wife on Monday after searching their home in Spring Lake Park, a news release says.
In that search, and a subsequent search of their storage unit, the task force recovered roughly 15.21 pounds of meth, more than $73,000 and a .44 magnum handgun.
Investigators believe the man has been the source of "large amounts of methamphetamine being trafficked" into the area, as well as other parts of Minnesota.
The couple is being held in the Anoka County Jail.
The multi-jurisdictional CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force investigated this case with the help of the Anoka-Hennepin Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Spring Lake Park Police Department
