St. Paul voters already ousted one City Council incumbent, Lee Helgen. Now Dave Thune is awaiting word on his job, too. That will depend on voters' second choices, which will be tallied Monday.
MinnPost reports Thune was ahead in round one but did not secure 50 percent of the votes so the challengers could still unseat him.
The Pioneer Press says results should be in this afternoon. It should take about six hours to count the ballots.
