Authorities in Cass County, north-central Minnesota, are investigating a crash that killed a man early Saturday morning.
It happened a mile south of the city of Bena on County Road 8, a news release from the local sheriff says.
The sheriff's office received a report about the crash at 1:43 a.m. and arrived at the scene to find a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado in a ditch. It had apparently left the roadway before rolling "and landing in a swampy area."
The truck's lone occupant was found deceased inside.
He's been identified as a 60-year-old from St. Paul, but his name is being withheld until his family is notified.
An autopsy by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner will determine his exact cause of death; the crash is now under investigation.
The number of people killed on Minnesota roads is now at least 340, according to the latest data from MnDOT.
Last year, a total of 381 people died on the state's roads.
