A man wanted in connection with a murder in North Dakota was arrested in St. Paul after a standoff with police.

Police arrested Delvin Lamont Shaw Saturday afternoon after he hid in a home in St. Paul's North End neighborhood and refused to come out, according to reports.

Grand Forks police had issued a warrant for Shaw's arrest last Wednesday and asked for the public's help to find him after police say he and another man kicked open the door of a Grand Forks apartment and then fatally shot 24-year-old Jose Luis Lopez, the Grand Forks Herald reports.

Shaw is charged with murder and burglary, the Pioneer Press says.

Police said they were "actively seeking" Shaw and he was considered armed and dangerous. They believed he was headed to the Twin Cities, the Star Tribune reports.

St. Paul police said Shaw was staying with people he knew in St. Paul and they eventually figured out he was wanted for murder, so they called police, the Star Tribune says.

St. Paul police said Shaw eventually surrendered and was arrested without incident.

He wasn't armed, the Pioneer Press adds.

Shaw is in the Ramsey County jail awaiting extradition charges, the Star Tribune says. The other suspect had already been arrested, Valley News Live reports.
