The St. Paul Police Department said in a news conference Friday that a tip line has been created to encourage members of the public to come forward with any new information about the disappearance of 30-year-old Kira Trevino, KARE-TV reports.

Authorities encouraged the public to call 651-560-3277 with any information related to the case.

The plea for the public's help comes two days after Ramsey County authorities charged Kira Trevino's husband, Jeffrey Trevino, 39, with second-degree murder. His bail was set at $1 million.

In the news conference Friday, authorities said they are seeking to find any information about the whereabouts of Kira Trevino or Jeffrey Trevino in the time frame around the alleged murder.

Kira Trevino has been missing since Feb. 22. Security officers found her car Monday at the Mall of America.

A St. Paul police spokesman Friday showed photos of Kira Trevino's vehicle in hopes of jogging the memories of any potential witnesses.

The vehicle is a white Chevy Cobalt with the license plate number XCC 572.

The criminal complaint in the case states Jeffery Trevino reported his wife missing on Sunday morning, claiming he hadn't seen her since Friday.

Jeffrey Trevino was arrested Tuesday and was being held on probable cause homicide by Ramsey County authorities.
