The St. Paul Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man who is believed to have been involved in looting during the riots following the death or George Floyd.
According to the police department, the suspect was involved in the looting along University Avenue on May 28. He was also captured on video throwing objects at police officers.
The department is asking anyone who knows who he is to call police at 651-266-5900 or email SPPD-CUITF@ci.stpaul.mn.us.
Last month, St. Paul's Planning and Economic Development Department said the rioting in St. Paul in late May did an estimated $73 million worth of damage to properties and resulted in $8.8 million in loss of inventory and other business assets, KSTP reported.
Roughly 330 businesses in the city sustained some type of damage during the riots.
