A resident discovered several plots of marijuana growing in St. Paul. KSTP-TV reporter Max Saxenmeyer took samples to a toxicology lab and determined the plants contained the illegal, mood altering compound THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol.

KSTP says St. Paul Police does not believe the plants are part of an underground drug ring. Sgt. Paul Paulos tells the television station that the marijuana is growing wild, referring to it as "ditch weed," and will be destroyed.
