Police in St. Paul are investigating the "suspicious" death of a man on the city's East Side.

In a Saturday afternoon news release, police said they were called to a residence in the 200 block of Birmingham Avenue around 1 p.m. Saturday, where they found the body of a 59-year-old man, WCCO reports.

Police arrested a 48-year-old woman at the scene; the woman knew the victim, according to WCCO.

The man died after a domestic dispute, police said, but they would not provide any more information about the nature of the incident, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of the man's death, and they won’t be releasing any further information for the time being.
