Fans who want to purchase Metrodome seats – and say goodbye to the facility at the same time – have one more day to do it.

The Star Tribune says Wednesday is the last day fans can buy seats straight from the Metrodome. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Albrecht Signs, which is in charge of the sale, says seats will still be available for purchase at its Fridley warehouse starting next week.

Albrecht Signs estimated that 10,000-15,000 seats have been sold so far at the dome.

About 10,000 additional seats will be for sale the company's Fridley facility. Details of the sale will be posted on the company's website and Facebook page.

The deadline for reserving seats for purchase was Jan. 7, but an Albrecht representative says the company has been accepting cash for seats from people who didn't.

According to the company, the seats are $60 each plus tax for general consumers, and $40 apiece for nonprofit and community groups. People have also been buying specific seats for $80 each plus tax.

Some groups are buying the seats in bulk for use at amateur sports facilities throughout the state.

Northland's News Center reports that 300 seats are headed to Chisholm, Minnesota, and will be installed at Joel Maturi Field, which is named for the former University of Minnesota athletic director. Currently, the facility uses wooden and aluminum benches.

The Metrodome's roof will come down Saturday as the facility goes dark, the Star Tribune says.
