Standoff in Bloomington ends, 2 suspects in custody
Bloomington police have taken two suspects into custody in connection to an incident Friday morning that shut down roads in the area of American Boulevard and Lyndale Avenue.
Police closed roads in the area and surrounded a building looking for suspects who crashed a stolen vehicle and then fled the scene, with police saying they found ammunition in the vehicle.
Bloomington PD tweeted at 10:13 a.m. that they'd arrested one suspect, while the second suspect was "surrounded on a building's rooftop," noting roads in the area would remain closed until they were arrested.
At 10:56 a.m., Bloomington PD said it had taken the second suspect into custody and all roads were now open.

Bloomington PD tweeted at 7:04 a.m. that it is investigating a stolen vehicle that was involved in a crash at American Boulevard and Lyndale Avenue. The suspect fled the vehicle after the crash, with police saying they found ammunition in the vehicle.
Police are surrounding a building "in the area," and have asked people to stay away.
Bloomington PD first tweeted about the incident at 6:28 a.m., saying there's ongoing police activity in the area of Interstate 494 and Lyndale Avenue South.
Police closed northbound Lyndale at 82nd Street and southbound Lyndale at 494. Eastbound American Boulevard is also closed at Lyndale and westbound American Boulevard is closed at Grand Avenue.
