Starbuck man charged with uploading, sharing child pornography

The 47-year-old was arrested after a tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.

A 47-year-old man has been charged with uploading and sharing dozens of images and videos of child pornography.

Stephen Talmedge Gadbaw, Jr., of Starbuck, Minnesota, was charged in Pope County Court with five counts of distribution of child pornography, with bail set at $50,000, or $2,000 with conditions.

It comes after the Pope County Sheriff's Office got a tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children about a person "uploading and sharing a total of forty-two child pornographic images and videos."

An investigation led police to Gadbaw, Jr. in Starbuck.

In a statement, the Pope County Sheriff's Office said: "Pope County Law Enforcement takes all tips of individuals wishing to exploit youth seriously and continues to work diligently to combat the grotesque nature of child pornography by using all resources available to hold accountable those responsible.

Law enforcement encourages anyone with information on the exploitation of youth to report it to their local law enforcement agency."
