State Patrol investigating fatal crash in west-central Minnesota

There was a fatal rollover crash in west-central Minnesota Tuesday afternoon, according to the State Patrol. 

The single-vehicle crash happened around 3:50 p.m. in New York Mills, with the crash report from the State Patrol saying two 21-year-old Moorhead men were traveling eastbound on Hwy. 10 in a 1999 BMW 328 when the driver lost control near Broadway Road. 

The BMW entered the center median and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on the right shoulder of westbound Hwy. 10. 

The passenger, identified as William Maurice Jackson, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver sustained non-critical injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Perham. 

Alcohol was involved in the crash, the State Patrol said.
