At least four people were transported to hospitals after a wrong-way driver crash in Brooklyn Park early Wednesday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 1:15 a.m. on Hwy. 169 near County Road 81. The driver of a Nissan Altima was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 169 and collided with a Chevy Impala that was carrying four people.
The driver of the Altima, identified as a 28-year-old woman from Lester Prairie, Minnesota, was transported to North Memorial Hospital with injuries considered not life-threatening.
There were four young adults in the Impala. The 22-year-old driver, a Minneapolis man, has yet to be identified, nor has his condition been released.
Three passengers suffered non-critical injuries and were all taken to North Memorial Hospital. They've been identified as a 22-year-old Rush City woman, a 23-year-old Minneapolis man, and a 21-year-old St. Paul woman.
The State Patrol said alcohol was involved in the crash.
