Original story

Police in Anoka County are searching for a possibly-armed male and have asked local residents to "please stay indoors."

The search is currently ongoing in the area of Hanson and Andover Boulevard in Andover, after the male fled deputies and "may have a weapon."

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says anyone who sees something suspicious should call 911.

Nearby Andover Elementary School is currently on a "lockout," which means the school's doors are locked but activities continue as normal inside.
