Store worker fatally shot during armed robbery in Minneapolis

The incident was reported at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A store worker was fatally shot during an armed robbery in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis Tuesday evening.

Minneapolis Police Department says the incident happened at 7 p.m. on the 400 block of Cedar Avenue, with officers arriving to find a man in his 40s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He died a short time later after being taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Police say a man entered the store and "attempted to rob it, shooting the victim/clerk before fleeing the scene in a car."

As of Tuesday evening, the suspect has not been arrested.
