It could get a little stormy before less-humid air settles over the state Wednesday, forecasters say.

Monday night into Tuesday morning, there's a severe thunderstorm risk in southwest Minnesota, WCCO reports.

Then Monday's muggy weather will continue Tuesday in much of the state, with a high of 90 degrees that feels like 95 with the humidity in the metro, the National Weather Service says.

Thunderstorms are likely Tuesday and Tuesday night in the Twin Cities, the National Weather Service says. Chance of precipitation: 70 percent, according to the weather service.

For Tuesday night, FOX 9 reports that a cold front will move across the state, with severe weather again possible, including in the metro, with large hail and damaging winds possible.

Relief from the heat is coming – it will be much less humid on Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low 80s, forecasters say.
