The state is in for two rounds of storms on Thursday.

KARE 11 says the first round is hitting the Twin Cities in late morning, and a second round late this afternoon brings more of a chance for severe weather.

WCCO says the Minnesota Twins might be battling the elements around game time shortly after 7 p.m., when it could be quite stormy.

The weather is affecting Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, WCCO says.

KSTP.com meteorologist Patrick Hammer says the greatest threat for severe storms will happen between 5 and 9 p.m.

The Twin Cities could get 3-5 inches of rain over the next week, the National Weather Service says.
