Student mugged, beaten as they walked near dorm building

It happened on Monday night.

A University of Minnesota-Twin Cities student was mugged as they walked near a dorm building on Monday night.

The attack happened at 10:20 p.m. near Pillsbury Court apartments at 11th Avenue SE and 5th Street SE, Minneapolis.

The student was walking when they were pushed down by a group of 3-4 males. 

The suspects punched and kicked the victim, before taking their phone and fleeing the area.

The victim was unable to provide a description of their attackers to police.

Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the crime. Anyone with information should call them on 612-692-8477 with information.
