Students among those injured in Brooklyn Park SUV, school bus crash
A school bus carrying several children was struck by an SUV that ran a red light in Brooklyn Park on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at 7:15 a.m. at Brooklyn Boulevard and Regent Avenue, according to Brooklyn Park PD spokesman Mark Bruley.
The SUV driver heading east on Brooklyn Boulevard ran a red light, striking the bus.
The bus driver and the driver of the SUV were both taken to hospital along with two students on the bus. All four sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
KARE 11 notes that several other students were taken to a hospital by their parents for evaluation on minor injuries.
The incident is under investigation by the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
