Subway employee robbed outside work in Waite Park

A Subway worker was robbed after leaving work in Waite Park in the early hours of Friday morning.

Waite Park Police Department says the female employee was walking to her vehicle outside the Subway at 1301 2nd Street S. at 7:44 a.m. on Friday.

She told police a man approached her, knocked her down, and took a bag of money she was carrying.

The suspect, described as a black man wearing a black jacket, black mask, blue jeans and white tennis shoes, then ran from the area with the money.

No weapons were displayed during the robbery, and the worker was not injured.
