Suspect arrested for probable cause murder in killing of Minneapolis woman; victim identified

A 39-year-old woman has been arrested and booked into jail.

The fatal stabbing of a woman in the Minneapolis theater district on Saturday night has resulted in the arrest of another woman. 

According to Minneapolis Police Department, homicide investigators worked through the night Saturday to Sunday and were able to use interviews and physical evidence that led to the arrest of a 39-year-old woman who was booked into Hennepin County Adult Detention Center for probable cause murder. 

The woman, who has not been formally charged and therefore wont' be named in the story per Bring Me The News protocol, is accused of killing a 42-year-old woman. 

The victim, identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office as Mesheka Octavious Willis, of Minneapolis, died of a "sharp force injury of the chest." 

The medical examiner's report reveals that she was stabbed at the Bus Depot located at 950 Hawthorne Ave. Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Hennepin Ave. at 9:34 p.m. and they treated the woman until paramedics transported her to Hennepin Healthcare. 

Willis was pronounced dead at 10:27 p.m. in the emergency room, according to the medical examiner.
