Suspect arrested in connection to armed robbery at central MN bank

The suspect was convicted of armed robbery of the same bank back in 2007.

A suspect has been arrested in connection to an armed robbery at Deerwood Bank in Garrison on July 24. 

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that the suspect, a 51-year-old man, was arrested Monday in Andover and is being held on probable cause charges of aggravated robbery. 

The suspect was previously convicted for an armed robbery of the same bank in 2007, the sheriff's office said. BMTN does not typically name suspects before they have been formally charged. 

Investigators are still looking for the getaway vehicle that was used in the robbery. The sheriff's office says it is believed to be a white four-door sedan, possibly a Cadillac.
