A man has been arrested in connection to the murder of an Indiana woman in Minnesota.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Daniel Gregory Lynn, 40, of South Bend, Indiana, was arrested in Michigan by state police and U.S. Marshals on Friday morning. He is being held in Michigan pending extradition to Minnesota where he'll face homicide charges in St. Louis County.

Lynn is suspected of killing 28-year-old Christina Marie Woods, also of South Bend, Indiana. She was reported missing in Indiana in June and authorities had reason to believe she had traveled to Minnesota.

Investigators found her body in a shallow grave near in rural St. Louis County on July 2, with the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office determining that she died from homicidal violence sometime during the week of June 11.

The property on which her body was found is owned by one of Lynn's family members.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office received word that Lynn had been spotted in Duluth and surrounding areas the week of Woods' death.

The connection between Woods and Lynn is unclear at this time.
