Suspect arrested in death of man found in Inver Grove Heights snowbank

Police have identified the man who was killed as 39-year-old Bryant Lutgens.

A suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of a man who was found in a snowbank in Inver Grove Heights on Feb. 1.

According to a news release from the police department on Thursday, the 42-year-old Richfield man was arrested and booked into the Dakota County Jail after it issued an alert on a vehicle related to the death of Bryant Jon Lutgens, 39, of Burnsville.

The Minneapolis PD located and stopped the vehicle on Wednesday and arrested the suspect. Another person in the vehicle was booked into jail on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant, the release states.

Police said Lutgens' body was found around 8 a.m. Monday on the 1300 block of 60th Street West, which runs just east of Interstate 494. Police were called to the area for a suspicious incident and found Lutgens on the south side of the road in a snowbank.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's report, Lutgens died of a gunshot wound to the head.
