Suspect in 16-year-old's killing on the run with his mother
An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy on the Fond du Lac Reservation.
On Monday just after 1 a.m., officers from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department and Fond du Lac Police Department found a teen dead with an apparent gunshot wound in a home on the reservation, which sits west of Duluth. The victim has not been identified.
Two women inside the home were later interviewed by authorities and identified three possible suspects, which police were seeking on Monday.
The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office has signed an arrest warrant for Joseph James Fohrenkam. The arrest warrant is for second-degree manslaughter charges, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.
Fohrenkam’s location is currently unknown, and he is believed to be with his mother, Littlefawn Fohrenkam. He may also be in possession of a handgun.
The third possible suspect officials named on Monday has been located and is cooperating with the investigation.
