A driver suspected of DWI struck six pedestrians Sunday near the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, KARE 11 reports. The incident happened at about 3 p.m. near the corner of Washington Avenue and Oak Street.

The 32-year-old woman told police she did not see the people crossing the street, the Star Tribune reports.

Three of the six remained hospitalized on Sunday night, but investigators said the injuries don’t appear life-threatening and the three are expected to recover, WCCO reports.

The Minnesota Daily, the student newspaper, reported five people were hit, two of them students. The Daily interviewed one of them: “We got the walk signal and took maybe a few steps, and the next thing I knew, I was in the air and then on the ground,” computer science student Michael Duffy said.
