Suspicious death investigation underway in Rochester after body found in the street

A man's body was found in the middle of the street.

A street in Rochester has been closed after a body was discovered early Tuesday morning. 

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, a motorist traveling in the 2300 block of 45th Street SE found a body in the middle of the road around 4 a.m.

The man's death has been deemed suspicious and 45th Street SE has been closed as the investigation continues. 

The man's cause of death is unknown, but a member of the sheriff's office told ABC 6 that the victim suffered trauma before his death. 

No arrests have been made and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
