A suspicious death investigation has been launched in western Wisconsin after the discovery of a body Sunday afternoon.
The Dunn County Sheriff's Office says the death was reported in the town of Sheridan, in the north of the county, at 2:18 p.m.
While few details have been released regarding the deceased, the sheriff's office is asking for information about an individual who was "walking in the area or possibly going to residences to ask for a ride" early Sunday morning or late Saturday night.
"As we are in the initial stages of the investigation we ask that people be vigilant about securing their doors and be aware of their surroundings," the sheriff's office added.
More details are expected to be released in the coming days.
