Two women died in a single-vehicle rollover crash in northeast Minnesota on Tuesday evening.
According to the State Patrol, two women in their 30s were traveling together in a 1998 Chevy Blazer when the crash happened around 6:15 p.m. in rural Carlton County – about 25 miles southwest of Duluth.
Thirty-five-year-old Angela M. Severson, of Pierre, South Dakota, was driving the SUV northbound on Highway 23 near County Road 8 when the vehicle left the roadway, rolled and struck a tree.
Neither Severson nor the lone passenger in the vehicle, identified as 36-year-old Jennifer L. Bokusky, of Apple Valley, were wearing a seatbelt, the State Patrol said. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. No further information has been released.
