SWAT team called to domestic incident find man dead in home
Police responding to a domestic incident in Lino Lakes on Tuesday entered a property to find a man dead.
There was a major operation on the 7000 block of Rice Lake Drive on Tuesday afternoon, starting just before 5 p.m. when police were called for a "domestic escort," as a man was refusing access to the home.
Shortly after Lino Lakes PD arrived, they heard what sounded like gunshots from inside the house.
They established a perimeter and called in a SWAT team from Anoka County.
"Following extensive and unsuccessful efforts to make contact with the resident, entry was made into the home and an adult male was found deceased," Lino Lakes PD said. "At this time, there is no risk to the general public."
This case remains under investigation by the Lino Lakes Police Department, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
