Teen critically injured after being slashed by boat propeller while tubing
A freak tubing accident on Saturday left a teenage boy with critical injuries.
The incident happened on Big Swan Lake north of Dassel, Meeker County, just before 1 p.m. and left two boys, aged 13 and 16, with injuries.
The Meeker County Sheriff's Office said the boys were on a tube being pulled by a boat when they struck the propeller, with both getting lacerations.
The 13-year-old, identified as Alexander Pazahanick, of Bloomington, had to be airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he is critical but stable.
The second boy, 16-year-old Ethan Favour of St. Louis Park, was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital by car.

The boat was being driven by another 13-year-old boy, with the sheriff's office saying "driver inexperience was cited as a major factor in the accident."
The boy faces potential charges, while the boat's owner, 41-year-old Jeffrey Pazahanick of Bloomington, was issued a citation for allowing illegal operation of a watercraft.
