A teenager was killed in a crash in southwest Minnesota on Sunday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2003 Chevy Silverado traveling southbound on Hwy. 23 collided with a 1999 Ford F-250 that was northbound on the highway. The crash happened just after 7 p.m. in Lyons Township, about 10 miles southwest of Marshall.
The driver of the Silverado, identified as Jordan Peter Clapsaddle, 18, of Russell, Minnesota, was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Patrol reports that Clapsaddle was not wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol was involved.
A 25-year-old Granite Falls man driving the F-250 and a 21-year-old passenger from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, were not injured in the crash.
