A 19-year-old man was killed on Saturday when he lost control of his car and slid into oncoming traffic.

Noah Kawika Johnson, 19, of Big Lake, crashed in the 18200 block of 263rd Avenue Northwest in Orrock Township, just west of Zimmerman.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott said Johnson was driving westbound when he started to spin, ending up in the eastbound lane.

His Mercury Sable was then t-boned by a Buick Century. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Buick, a 41-year-old woman, and a 12-year-old female passenger were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency responders.

The girl was taken by ambulance to North Memorial Hospital.

Brott says a third vehicle then hit the Buick after the initial crash, with the driver evaluated at the scene by paramedics.

Johnson was one of two teenagers killed in crashes in Minnesota over the weekend, with an 18-year-old man dying near Marshall on Sunday.
