Teenager fatally stabbed in St. Paul, brother in custody
A teenager was fatally stabbed in St. Paul on Tuesday after an argument, with his older brother taken into custody.
St. Paul police say officers were called to the 2200 block of Lower Afton Road around 3 a.m. Tuesday regarding a report of two men fighting with a knife involved.
Officers found an unresponsive 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers carried out first aid and called the St. Paul Fire paramedics, who pronounced him dead at the scene.
He was identified by St. Paul Police Department on Wednesday as Davant Coppage.
The boy was there with his 24-year-old brother, who was taken into custody at the St. Paul Police headquarters, according to the police report.
The SPPD is still investigating what led to the fight.
