Teens from St. Paul injured in personal watercraft collision
Two teens from St. Paul were transported to hospitals after being involved in a lake accident.
In a July 15 news release, the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office reported the July 10 personal watercraft collision happened around 6:15 p.m. on Rush Lake of the Whitefish Chain of Lakes.
The boys, identified as 15-year-old Caelan Hanson and 16-year-old Espen Ulland, were operating personal watercraft when they collided. Hanson was flown via North Aircare to a hospital with what the sheriff's office described as a "likely wrist fracture," and Ulland was taken to an area hospital with a "likely ankle fracture."
Assisting at the scene were the Water Patrol division of the sheriff's office, Crosslake police and fire, Crosslake area first responders and North Ambulance.
