St. Paul approves $2.5M to repair bumpiest, pockmarked roads

The St. Paul City Council unanimously approved Mayor Chris Coleman’s proposal to spend $2.5 million to improve 11 of the city’s most heavily traveled streets that are in most need of repair – stretches Coleman dubbed the “Terrible 20.”

Twin Cities 5k Foam Fest canceled; possible scam alert issued by BBB

Runners who signed up for a 5-K Foam Fest run in St. Paul are out as much as $75 after the event was abruptly canceled. Runners were told they would not get their registration fee returned. The Better Business Bureau says it’s taking more complaints about fun run events that cancel with no refunds.

Wolf population stable, more hunting licenses available this year

The Department of Natural Resources announced there will be 500 more wolf hunting licenses available this year. The DNR says after two years of legal wolf hunting, the estimated state population has actually grown slightly.

Twins trade Kendrys Morales back to Mariners

With the trade deadline one week from today, the Minnesota Twins sent Kendrys Morales to the Seattle Mariners for right-handed reliever Stephen Pryor. Since 2012, Pryor has posted a 2.81 earned-run average in 32 innings. The Twins signed Morales on June 8.
