The best flow in high school hockey: Here's the 2017 'All Hockey Hair Team'
It’s as great a tradition as the tournament itself: The All Hockey Hair Team has been announced.
Although the video's creator, John King, says this "hasn't been the best year for hair," the video is packed with sick flow, spicy salad and all of those entertaining quips from the commentator we look forward to year after year.
This year, the video even has a theme: "Flowetry in Motion." That's a mash up of "flow" and "poetry."
No. 1 on this year's all hockey hair team is Reagan Garden of St. Cloud Cathedral. Garden earned extra points for a "bonus flip for the fans."
"In a year with lots of geometrics and Bruno Mars haircuts, this kid was here to remind us of what it's all about and inspire a new generation," King says.
Two managers for Grand Rapids also got a shout out for looking like they "should be on the front of the Mad Max truck."

Earlier this month, the executive director of the Minnesota State High School League seemed to diss the hockey hair videos, saying “It’s a guy who’s sitting in his living room taking photos off his TV set. My concern is the kids and the tournaments."
Perhaps that's why King chooses to send off the video with a reminder of what it's all for.
"To make these kids look like the rockstars that they are."
King said the videos also help some hockey players through the Hendrickson Foundation. According to the Star Tribune, the video in 2015 raised $15,000 from Warrior Hockey and that money was donated to the foundation, which supports special hockey programs for people with disabilities and military veterans.
The 2017 video was posted late Saturday night, and people on social media were already raving about it Sunday morning:
