St. Paul's Union Depot is the place to be for festive fun on Friday as the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train rolls into town.
Every November and December a CP train festooned with Christmas lights makes its way across the United States, holding musical performances at numerous locations along the line.
Friday night is St. Paul's turn, with the historic Union Depot serving as the backdrop for the music and light show, which gets underway from 6:45 p.m, according to the Union Depot website.
According to its schedule, after St. Paul the train will be making stops on Saturday at Loretto, Buffalo, Annandale, and Kimball.
It then heads over to West Central Minnesota on Sunday, paying visits to Glenwood, Alexandria, Henning, Detroit Lakes, Plummer and Thief River Falls.
Elbow Lake is its last Minnesotan stop on Monday, before it crosses the border into North Dakota.
Union Depot has a whole host of holiday activities going on, with a European Christmas Market running from Friday to Sunday, while the North Pole Holiday Christmas trains are also running this weekend.
On Saturday, it will be hosting its 3rd Annual Holiday Bake Sale.
Proceeds from the CP Holiday Train show will benefit Keystone Community Services Food Shelf, with those attending asked to bring cash or a healthy food donation.
Metro Transit is offering free ride passes to the event, which you can download here.
