There have been more reports of a man trying to lure children into his vehicle in Castle Rock Township, south of Farmington.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office first put an alert out on Monday, May 21, after a child was offered $100 cash and candy if they helped a man find his "lost" dog.

On Friday, the sheriff's office says it's investigating two more incidents of a white man trying to lure children in his vehicle.

In both cases, a man aged around 60 approached children playing near roads while in his vehicle and tried to persuade them to get in.

Both incidents happened between 3-5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 22 and 23, with his vehicle described as a newer black truck, possibly with 4 doors.

The Monday incident also involved an older man in a black pickup truck, who approached a 10-year-old girl.

"Citizens are requested to report suspicious behavior and circumstances to law enforcement immediately by calling 911," police said.

"We also urge you to have age appropriate conversations around the topic of safety and stranger awareness."
