Two people died in separate crashes on Minnesota roads Friday morning.

The first crash was a head on collision between two vehicles on County Road 103 in rural Leader, MN just before 7 a.m. on Friday, according to a release from the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say one of the drivers, a 42-year-old man from Little Falls, was found dead at the scene.

A juvenile male passenger from that vehicle was transported to North Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries.

The 19-year-old driver and 22-year-old passenger of the other vehicle were treated at Staples Hospital for "non-life threatening injuries".

The second two vehicle crash happened at about 8:39 a.m. at the intersection of County Roads 12 and 20 in Chisago Lakes Township near Center City, the Chisago County Sheriff's office said in a release.

CPR was being performed on one of the passengers when authorities arrived. The driver of one vehicle and two passengers from the second vehicle were transported to the hospital, the release says.

Later that afternoon, an 11-year-old female was pronounced dead at Regions hospital from injuries sustained in the crash, officials said.

The MN State Patrol is assisting in both investigations.
