There's a Lucky Charms milkshake at Burger King and omg how much sugar is that?

So this is a thing now.

We're going to blame/thank Taco Bell and Doritos for kicking off this "Snack mixed with fast food item" trend that has taken hold.

The latest entry in the series: A Lucky Charms milkshake, available at a participating Burger King near you.

It's the first General Mills cereal to be used in a shake, the Minnesota-based company says, with national account executive Randy Anders saying the combination was "very popular in consumer testing."

What's in it?

It's vanilla soft-serve mixed with Lucky Charms, plus marshmallow cereal-flavored syrup, and topped with both whipped cream of some sort and Lucky Charms.

The nutrition makes the Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino look like a diet soda. Here's the rundown for the standard Lucky Charms milkshake:

That's right, 107 grams of sugar.

That's about 2.5 cans of Vanilla Coke (standard 12-ouncer). Or 7.6 chocolate frosted donuts from Dunkin' Donuts. Or nearly four Snickers bars.

Experts generally recommend a max of 25-38 grams of added sugar every day. So you are running laps around that figure just with this single snack.

There's also a Froot Loops version

Burger King also has a Froot Loops milkshake for the summer. It is mildly less sugary.

Both this and the Lucky Charms version will be available at participating restaurants for a few months.

Might we see more?

Anders in his statement also called Burger King "an excellent partner," and said they "look forward to working with them on future cereal shake flavors."

So maybe we'll see a Honey Nut Cheerios or Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake eventually. But for now, you can only go after their Lucky Charms.
