This story is either going to make you incredibly hungry, a little queasy, or both.

Austin Kiekhafer made a little bit of juicy, delicious history in the city of Scandia this week when he became the first person to successfully finish the burger challenge set by Meister's Bar and Grill.

The $16.99 "Meister's Two Pounder" had only recently been added to the menu, when the 24-year-old from North Branch stepped up to the plate (get it?) on Tuesday.

Placed before him? Two pounds of Hereford beef, topped with lashings of cheese, onion rings and cheese curds, encased in a bun and surrounded by fries.

It took him 45 minutes, but Kiekhafer became the first to complete the challenge, making it onto the bar's wall of fame. And he won himself a "Burger Two Pounder t-shirt."

On Wednesday he told the Pioneer Press: "I’m still full, I’ll tell you that much. It was a great burger. I’d order it again, but I’d have to have a longer time to finish it."

Given Kiekhafer's success, bar general manager Amy Kotzmacher told the newspaper they'll be making the competition more difficult, with future competitors having just 30 minutes to complete the challenge.
