This reporter bashed a MN county, then moved there – now he says it's 'actually good'

Remember this guy? He's the reporter who called Red Lake County the "absolute worst place to live."

Remember Christopher Ingraham?

He's the Washington Post reporter who wrote an article in 2015 calling Red Lake County in northwestern Minnesota the ugliest county in the whole U.S.

But Ingraham was invited out to visit the county he dubbed the “absolute worst place to live in America.” Then he had a complete change of heart and decided to move out there with his wife and twin sons.

The reporter has been living in the rural Minnesota county for about a year now, and CBS recently decided to catch up with him to see how things are going.

"Red Lake Falls is actually good," Ingraham said in a tweet Friday before the interview aired.

But this was the worst place in America! CBS said.

“I believe the phrase was absolute worst place to live in America,” Ingraham responded. “That’s what the spreadsheet said, ok. So coming out here and getting that ground truth, that kind of changed my perspective on it.”

Today, Ingraham (kind of) fits in with the locals. The broadcaster noted Ingraham looks a little out of place fishing for walleye in a brand new peacoat. But that's ok.
