Those who get COVID vaccine at MSP Airport could win $500 Sun Country voucher
Minnesotans who get vaccinated against COVID-19 at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport over the next several weeks could win a $500 Sun Country travel voucher.
Gov. Tim Walz on Wednesday announced the latest vaccine incentive for those who get the vaccine between July 1 and Aug. 7 at Terminal 2 (the Humphrey Terminal) at MSP Airport.
Those who get the shot will be entered into a weekly drawing for a $500 travel voucher with Sun Country Airlines, with a winner announced weekly for five consecutive weeks.

“Vaccines are effective and can help you explore the country much more safely,” Gov. Walz said in a statement. “With more than 3 million Minnesotans vaccinated, we’ve made great progress as a state and we want to build on that success by providing a chance to get back to traveling – safely. So roll up your sleeves Minnesota – walk in or make an appointment at Terminal 2, and begin planning your next trip.”

Those who get the vaccine at Terminal 2 (you don't need a boarding pass — it's open to the general public) will get the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Minnesotans must be 18 or older to get the shot and enter for a chance to win a travel voucher.
“It’s travel season in Minnesota, and getting fully vaccinated is the biggest step you can take to ensure you’re safe and healthy wherever you are going,” Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan said in a statement.. “Over 615,000 doses and counting have been administered through the state’s Community Vaccination Program. Here is your chance to join your fellow Minnesotans, protect yourself and your community, and enter a drawing for the trip you have been waiting for all pandemic.”
The Terminal 2 vaccination pop-up is at 7150 Humphrey Drive and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parking vouchers are available.

We know a lot of folks are excited to start traveling again, and we look forward to welcoming them on board.”
Minnesota had a goal of 70% of the adult population having at least one dose of the COVID vaccine by July 1. As of June 28, 66.9% of those 16 and older have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, MDH data show.
