On Thursday, Gov. Tim Walz announced that the state's vaccine program will be expanded beyond healthcare workers, educators, long-term care residents and over-65s this spring.
Before it can be expanded however, Walz wants 70% of Minnesota's over-65 population to have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.
As of Friday, Feb. 26, 45% have received at least one shot.
Along with Thrifty White, Walmart and Hy-Vee pharmacies have been selected as partners in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program for COVID vaccines.
You can also register for Minnesota's Vaccine Connector to be notified if there are available appointments near you.
