You might know Thundercat as the man whose thumping bass strengthened the heartbeat at the center of Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly, or for his work with Erykah Badu and Flying Lotus.

What the next step in making things funkier? Why, linking up with a couple artists who dominated the charts in the '80s with undeniably smooth music, Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins, of course! Yacht rock on!

Thundercat's "Show You the Way" dropped today, the first single from his forthcoming album Drunk, which also features Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell and Wiz Khalifa. Loggins and McDonald are no stranger to making you feel the feels, and the genuine smoothness that "Show You the Way" radiates shows just how glorious this trio is together.

Drunk drops February 24. Thundercat will be getting Drunk with Minnesotans that same night at the Fine Line Music Cafe.
